Superb old cover of the original 1897 newspaper "Le Petit Parisien" about french serial killer Joseph Vacher. Perfect to be framed !

He is considered to be one of France's first serial killers. Suspected of being the perpetrator of around fifty crimes between 1894 and 1897, including the slitting of the throats of at least twenty women and teenagers, who were then mutilated and raped, he confessed to a total of eleven sadistic murders and one attempted rape, but refused to take responsibility for the villainous murders. Tried for just one murder, he was finally found responsible for his actions, despite a stay in a psychiatric institution and his eccentric behaviour, and died on the guillotine.
