A beautiful 19th-century devotional oratory, finely crafted in gilt brass, featuring an elaborate Gothic Revival design. The architectural structure is richly decorated with pierced ornament, foliate motifs, pinnacles and multiple small crosses.
The central interior displays a finely modelled Crucifixion of Christ, surrounded by elaborate scrolling foliage and flanked by two finely detailed winged angels. The upper section is surmounted by a small domed canopy and Gothic pinnacles, crowned by a prominent cross.

The shrine retains its original brown velvet-lined interior and stepped pedestal, creating a particularly striking presentation. The combination of Gothic architectural elements, religious symbolism and highly detailed metalwork makes this an exceptional 19th-century ecclesiastical devotional object, suitable for a cabinet of curiosities, private chapel or religious collection.

Dimensions: approximately 28 cm (11") high.

Circa 19th century. Brass, velvet and mixed metal elements. Age-related patina and signs of wear consistent with its age.
