Authentic early 20th century Dagyde ritual doll from France 1900's, presented under a large glass dome.

Handcrafted from porcelain, fabric, wax and iron nails, this rare piece carries the dark and fascinating aura of old folk magic and occult traditions. The aged porcelain face, worn textiles, hardened wax and oxidized nails give the object an intense presence and truly unique character.
Historically, Dagyde dolls were used in ritual practices and spell casting, serving as symbolic effigies in ceremonies linked to protection, curses, bindings or spiritual influence. Objects like this were believed to channel intentions and energies through ritual work.
The doll represents a specific person, and actions performed on the doll are believed to affect that person through a symbolic connection. Traditionally, it could contain elements belonging to the targeted individual such as hair, skin fragments, nail clippings, a written name, or even a photograph. The doll was sometimes consecrated through various ritual practices.
In forms of black magic and folk sorcery, the doll could be pierced with needles, cut, bound or burned in specific areas. According to these beliefs, the targeted person was thought to suffer in the same places where the doll was damaged.
